Meet Nick and Pieter, Brothers in the craft meat crime business! Nick & Pieter are both born and raised South Africans. They founded Howdysnax to live out the love and passion for craft meat making! Ever wondered why your mother’s food always tastes better? It’s made with love. That is why howdy exists. To bring the most adventurous , authentic tasting snacks to life and share it with America.
Why did you decide on the name howdy? Knowing that many of our products originated from the South African culture, we chose the name Howdysnax to “Introduce” these authentic snacks to the American market.
America is such a wonderful country and we also want to respect and honor its unique culture, so we wanted to go with a name that resonates with Americans, hence HOWDY!

First of all, thank you for visiting our store, we are thankful you are here and considering our quality handcrafted products!
As a born and raised South-African, meat snacks are part of my DNA. In 2017 I had the opportunity to move to the great USA, the country I now call my home.
During my adventures throughout the States, I tried all kinds of Biltong, Droëwors and Jerky, just to realize that only a few were truly "handcrafted" artisan quality. I decided to pull out some old family recipes and start making my own.
Before I knew it, I was making meat snacks and sausages, not only for myself, but also for our friends and their friends and their friends. The best part is that I loved every second of seeing other people enjoy delicious, handcrafted, artisan quality meat snacks.
That is when I decided to start Howdysnax; with one mission.. to create the best tasting, handcrafted meat snacks you can find in the States. That is my promise to you!
